Diving in Playa

The Caribbean is great for divers of all levels. There are plenty of good dive sites a short distance from the shore.

Due to a gentle current that takes you past tropical fish, beautiful corals, morays, and maybe a turtle if youґre lucky, diving in Playa del Carmen is relaxing and makes you feel like you are Superman flying underwater.

The Riviera Maya offers some of the best cenotes in the Yucatan.

There are many dive centers in Playa. By far, we recommend Abyss Dive Center. The Canadian owned Abyss Dive Center has been operating in the Playa del Carmen and Tulum since the late ґ90s, and they know all the best dive sites. This dive shop is very honest, friendly and are truly concerned about safety and service.

Abyss Dive Center has an excellent reputation amongst locals and customers who have been diving with them for years. One of the things I like best about Abyss is that they keep their dive groups small.

If you are not a diver but have always wanted to try it, they have a one-day course called Try Scuba. They teach you some basic skills in a pool, and later in the same day, you go out for a shallow dive. Itґs fun and easy.

If you want to do the whole Open Water Diver course, you will need four days of classes. Their prices are fair, and I'll be happy to explain the costs of the courses.

Roger can have them pick you up at the Condo Xaman Ha and make all of the arrangements. This is a truly awesome experience for the adventurous.
